Last week was a whirlwind of discovery for the Otium Yachts team as our trip began on the sun-drenched shores of the Mediterranean attending MEDYS Yacht Show, where we engaged with the latest trends and finest vessels, before continuing our trip to the picturesque Greek island of Poros for the 22nd EMMYS Yacht Charter Show.

At Otium Yachts, our commitment to providing perfect charter experiences is rooted in firsthand knowledge and meticulous curation. We believe that to truly recommend a yacht, one must step aboard, feel its ambiance, understand its flow, and personally assess the crew's dedication. This philosophy guided our presence at both prestigious events.

The EMMYS Experience: A Deep Dive into Greek Charters

The 22nd EMMYS Show, held from May 7th to May 10th, 2026, was an exceptional gathering that showcased the very best of Greece's premier charter fleet. Set against the idyllic backdrop of Poros, with its elegant harborfront and calm, protected waters, the event offered a vital preview of the yachts which will define the upcoming Greek Islands summer season. The energy was amazing, a vibrant mix of elegance and excitement that only the yachting world can truly deliver.

Our team spent time exploring an impressive collection of crewed catamarans and motor yachts. This direct engagement allowed us to move beyond brochures and specifications, gaining a profound understanding of each vessel's true guest flow.

The Rise of Multihulls in Greece

A notable highlight of the EMMYS 2026 was the continued dominance of multihulls, particularly catamarans. Their inherent stability, expansive beam, generous en-suite accommodations, and effortless indoor-outdoor living spaces make them an increasingly popular choice. When combined with professional crews, an array of exceptional water toys, and gourmet onboard service, these vessels offer a refined alternative for families and friend groups. They truly embody the comfort of a floating private villa, providing direct access to the Greek Islands and hidden gems.

S/Y SERENISSIMA III

A true flagship of the multihull world. Accommodating 10 guests in five ensuite cabins (including a dedicated Master and VIP), her "galley-up" layout creates a social, interactive culinary atmosphere led by a professional chef.

Key technical highlights include a 360° view flybridge lounge, a forward cockpit featuring a private jacuzzi, and a "Green Initiative" system for silent-night capability at anchor.

Her extensive toy collection featuring an e-foil, Seabobs, and a Jetski, is complemented by a dedicated crew of five, ensuring a balance of adventure and world-class hospitality.

S/Y ABOVE AND BEYOND

Living up to her name, this Sunreef 80 is a multi-award-winning sanctuary offering over 340m² of sophisticated living space. With a striking black-and-white interior, she accommodates 8 guests in 4 premium en-suite cabins. Her flybridge is a standout feature, equipped with a Jacuzzi, bar, and BBQ, while the hydraulic platform creates a private beach club at the water's edge.

Most notably, she is one of the most decorated yachts in the region, holding multiple 1st place titles from MEDYS and EMMYS (2022 - 2025) for culinary excellence and tablescaping. Under the care of a crew of five, she delivers a level of service that is quite literally "above and beyond."

S/Y ALOIA

S/Y ALOIA is a masterclass in modern catamaran design. Her "galley-down" configuration maximizes the main deck’s social space, creating a strikingly open and voluminous saloon.

She accommodates 10 guests in five luxurious cabins. Outdoor living is centered around an "ocean terrace" flybridge and a dedicated forward cockpit designed for deep relaxation. With a professional crew of five, ALOIA offers a fresh, sophisticated perspective on the Greek sailing experience.

More Than Just a Yacht Show

Shows like EMMYS are about so much more than just visiting yachts - they are about experiencing the atmosphere, meeting the incredible crews behind each yacht, and truly getting a feel for life at sea.

We had an amazing time, completely fell in love with Poros, and were genuinely impressed by how welcoming, approachable, and passionate every crew was. And the yachts… truly exceptional, each one with its own unique charm and character.

Experiences like this help us better understand what makes a charter truly special and allow us to share more personal recommendations and insights with our clients.

Already looking forward to the next edition.
